OUR Training services

Health and safety requirements are high on the agenda for all businesses in today’s safety-conscious society.

Ensuring your staff are appropriately trained will offer protection and reassurance that staff know the limitations of the vehicles they are utilising and understand how to operate them in a safe and efficient manner.

Four Wheel Drive (4WD) Light & Heavy

Light 4WD vehicles, Heavy 4WD vehicles, NZQA, Workplace or Refresher Training we can tailor a training package to meet your needs.

Light Utility Vehicles (LUVs) Side-by-sides

LUVs are replacing Quad Bikes in many Corporate Companies. Just like 4WDs they come in many makes and models with many different drive systems and features. Ensure your staff know the systems and features to understand the capabilities and limitations of their work vehicle by providing them with training tailored to meet your workplace requirements.

Quad Bikes (ATVs)

Every year there are a number of deaths and injuries in industry on quad bikes. It is important operators of quad bikes fully understand their machines and the limitations of a small platform on changing ground contour. Training provides individuals with understanding of dynamics, riding techniques, loading, and maintenance for the safe operation of quad bikes.

Motorcycles

NZQA or non-NZQA workplace training covering safety and familiarisation of off-road motorcycle riding.  Covers riding on flat and undulating terrain, and can include mounted equipment or a load (if required).

Low Friction Surface Driving (Gravel Roads or Snow & Ice)

New vehicle technologies require different driving input when driving on gravel or snow and ice. Training will provide an understanding of these new systems so drivers can operate the vehicle correctly based on the vehicle type being driven.

Driving Awareness

Training is designed to get drivers thinking about the hazards they face every day driving on New Zealand roads. It is about employing techniques to minimise the risk to themselves, their passengers, and their vehicle whilst promoting a safe and competent driving demeanor. It may include one-on-one on-road driving assessments.

Vehicle Recovery (Winching & Towing)

Understanding how to use equipment and options for off-road vehicle recovery is important to maintain safety and minimise risk or further damage to vehicles. Learn about safe recovery techniques and understand what equipment is available and should be carried depending on work areas.

Trailer Towing

Many businesses require employees to tow trailers in order to do their job. An understanding of trailer design, braking systems, connection systems, loading and appreciation of the required adjustment to driving techniques is important for safe trailer towing.

Training Benefits

Meet employer obligations under Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) to provide training to employees.

Allows trainees to appreciate both vehicle and driver capabilities, and more importantly, vehicle and individual driver limitations when driving vehicles.

Allows operators to have a full understanding of differing vehicle systems to maximise the vehicles capabilities and to minimise risk to operators, vehicles, and equipment.

Operator understanding of vehicle systems can avoid unnecessary wear and damage to drivetrain components. This leads to reduced servicing costs and vehicle downtime.

Utilising taught procedures of vehicle inspections can reduce tyre wear, fuel consumption, and enforcement infringement costs.

Allows employers to know the driving standard of their employees.

A more professional driving demeanor which portrays a positive public image for your company.

A training report is raised at the completion of the training which details course content, results, and any recommendations regarding current vehicle set-up.
